This has been the fastest summer that I may have ever experienced. There was a lot going on, and no way I would have been able to do even a third of it without all of you.
So, yes. This is another gratitude post. If you think I’m talking about you, you’re almost certainly right.
Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I am not, by nature, a particularly boastful person. So I hope you hear that when I tell you that there are certain things that I’m really good at. There are things that I excel at that others do not. I’m proud of those things and I’ve worked hard to do them well. I’m also fortunate that a lot of those skills can be used in my chosen profession. Yay, me!
However, much to my chagrin, there are things that I’m… not so good at. GASP I know, I’m as surprised as you are.
That’s where you come in. I’ve been absolutely gob smacked by the level of wisdom, thoughtfulness, compassion, industriousness, dedication, passion, love, selflessness, cleverness, kindness, companionship, patience, tactfulness, persistence, hopefulness, gentleness, strength, creativity, and courage that I’ve seen.
And yes, I had at least one person in mind for each of those (multiple for many of them).
I am at a real loss for words, something that is not a particularly common occurrence.
I appreciate you and I hope you know it.
Peace,
Rev. Jeff Fox-Kline
