A Growth Mindset

Our community garden is so wonderful!
The whole thing is lush and beautiful – full of food and color. I’m glad that I’m able to participate in it and am especially grateful for all of the love and care that Emily H. puts into the garden. She has brought people together and made something that is a beautiful addition to our church.
I’m growing flowers this year, as I have other food-bearing gardens elsewhere. It’s been a lot of fun to see what has worked (hello zinnias) and what hasn’t (RIP my dahlias). I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the garden today and noticed that my celosia is starting to get some volume and height! I had completely given up on it as being swallowed up by the zinnias. Maybe the dahlias will make a comeback even though it’s being blanketed by my cosmos.
I’m sharing some pictures of the garden this year, because it is amazing and I want everyone to see it!
While I won’t be in worship this Sunday, if you come to church you will see an arrangement of flowers that I cut for you through my absence. I hope you like it and I hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks without me!

Peace,
Rev. Jeff Fox-Kline
